Birth: Feb. 23, 1987
Death: Jul. 23, 2009

Arlen Ray Crespin Jr. 22, a resident of Bayard, NM entered eternal rest on Thursday, July 23, 2009 at his residence. He was born February 23, 1987 in Silver City, NM to Arlen Crespin Sr. and Selina (Lucero) Crespin. Arlen found happiness in simple things like family parties, with laughter, games and fun or just ‘hanging out" at home with Mom, Jimmy and Andi. He enjoyed his many hobbies, keeping his tackle box full and gear ready to go fishing and camping anytime. He took great pleasure in learning to cook and bake, encouraging all to sample the tasty results; although, one slight error that will be happily remembered was confusing the salt for sugar in the cookies! He had a fondness for playing cards and never tired of a good game of Rummy. Arlen was a skilled gardener and would work tirelessly at his accomplishments, whether it was planting and tending the flowers and trees for Mom at home or building a rock garden for Gramma or cleaning yards for Grammy Gram, Aunt Ann and Aunt Lupe- all were pleased with his workmanship. Flowers were his joy, with a special affection for roses, which will be forever evident in Mom's yard. His family finds comfort in the belief that Arlen must now be helping keep God's Heavenly Garden beautiful. He will be remembered as a loving, sensitive person. He had a special place in his heart for his Auntie Lisa and family. Our Lord called him home so soon-he will be very deeply missed by all his loving family and friends. He is survived by his mother, Selina Crespin and companion Ernesto Gavaldon and his grandchildren, Vanity, Issac and Matthew; his father, Arlen Crespin Sr. of Las Vegas, NV; one brother, James (Jimmy) Crespin of Bayard; one sister, Andrea (Andi) ReaAnn Crespin also of Bayard; maternal grandparents, Steve and Daisy Lucero of Bayard; paternal grandparents, Cruz and Irene Crespin of Santa Clara; maternal great-grandmother (Grammy Gram), Bernice Holland of Bayard; two uncles, Steve Lucero Jr. of Denver, CO; Lucas Lucero and wife Tami of Las Vegas, NV; two aunts, Lisa Carrillo and companion Jimmy Munoz of Las Cruces; Laurel Crespin of Silver City; three cousins, David Carrillo III, Bianca Carrillo and Azuree' Araiza and other numerous aunts, uncles, great aunts and uncles, great-great aunts and great-great uncle and cousins. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 28th from 4-7pm at Terrazas Funeral Chapels with the prayer vigil beginning at 7pm with Dr. Gilbert Arizaga reciting the holy rosary. The funeral liturgy will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 29th at 10am at Our Lady of Fatima Church with Father Kao officiating. The interment will follow the service at Hanover Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Crespin, Steve Lucero Jr., Lucas Lucero, Frank C. Lucero, David Carrillo III, and Jimmy Munoz. Honorary pallbearers will be Andi Crespin, Bianca Carrillo and Azuree' Araiza and the rest of his family and friends. Arrangements are with Terrazas Funeral Chapels "Trusted care for the ones you love" ~ (575)537-0777. To send condolences, visit
