Bush Creekmore, Long in Business In Norfolk, Dies
Bush H. Creekmore, 72, well known in the cleaning and pressing business here, died yesterday at 2:45 a.m. at his home, 100 Willowwood Drive. He had been in failing health for several years.
Son of Hiram and Mrs. Mary Dimmock Creekmore, he was a native of Camden, N.J. and had been a resident of Norfolk for 65 years.
He had conducted the cleaning and pressing business that bore his name since 1901 until he retired in 1943.
Mr. Creekmore was a member and former trustee of Norfolk Lodge 38, B.P.O. Elks, a member of Charity Lodge 10, Knights of Pythias, and of Christ and St. Luke's Church.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Annie Hodges Creekmore, of Norfolk, and two nieces, Mrs. W.L. Porter, of Drexel Hill, Pa., and Mrs. Edward Eager, of Norwood, Pa.
Funeral services will be conducted tomorrow at 2 p.m. at the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments by the Rev. Taylor Willis, D.D., rector of Christ and St. Luke's Church, and the Rev. Sparks W. Melton, D.D., pastor emeritus of Freemason Street Baptist Church. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
