Arthur C. Crandall, 82, Topeka, died Sunday in a Topeka hospital He had been ill several years.
He was born July 16, 1889 in Topeka where he spent most of his life. He was an Army veteran of World War I. He was a carpenter and building contractor before he retired in 1957.
He was a member of Philip Billard Post No. 1650 of Veterans of Foreign Wars and formerly was a member of Local No. 1445 of the Carpenters Union
He was married to Lucy Bahr July 26, 1926 in Topeka. She survives.
Other survivors include 3 daughters, Mrs. Dale Lolley and Nancy Crandall, both of Topeka, and Mrs. Don Pritchett Clinton; a sister, Mrs. Clara Besser Topeka; 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Services will be Tuesday at Parker mortuary with burial in Rochester Cemetery.
