Patricia Ann Herniak, 84, Tipton, died at 8 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009 at her home.
She was born Aug. 27, 1925 to Carl A. and Murriel (Rust) Crail Clarkson.
She was a graduate of Tipton High School and had worked at Pioneer Seed as a secretary.
She was a member of Kemp United Methodist Church. She was also a den mother for the scouts.
The last of her life was devoted to taking her three grandchildren out for trips every weekend for fossil hunting, collecting antiques and lore of nature.
She is survived by a granddaughter, Amanda L. and husband Steve M. Daugherty of Peru and three great-grandsons, Joseph, Matthew and Christopher.
She was preceded in death by a son, Joseph A. Herniak; a grandson, Jefferey A. Herniak; a sister, Kay Faciane; and two brothers, Donald E. and Ronald L. Crail.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Leatherman-Morris-Boyer Funeral Home in Tipton. The Rev. Harold Barnett will officiate. Burial will be in Tipton's Fairview Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from noon until time of services on Friday.
