Dora Mae Craig, 96, Bloomington, died at 1:39 a.m. Monday (Feb. 16, 2004) at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington.

She was born Sept. 12, 1907 at Hudson to John D. and Sarah Brown Craig. Her parents and five brothers preceded her in death.

Surviving are two sisters, Mary Craig and Jeretta Craig; numerous nieces and nephews, including a very special niece, Betty (Jeff) Schlink, whom she had raised and a sister-in-law, Florence Craig.

She was a member of Hudson Christian Church. She was a member of Farm Bureau and McLean County Home Extension for many years.

She worked on the family dairy and grain farm in Bloomington for more than 45 years. Dora operated a day-care center in her home in rural Bloomington for more than 25 years.

She had lived in Illinois all of her life, having moved to Bloomington from Hudson.

Dora had a "green thumb" for gardening and enjoyed huge gardens as well as indoor and outdoor gardening. Her family was her life, and she cherished the times she spent with them. Dora will be greatly missed.
