Alice Ruth Barr

Mrs. Alice Ruth Barr, age 79, a resident of Rockwood, Tennessee passed away Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at the Parkwest Medical Center, Knoxville, Tennessee. She was born March 24, 1933 in Rockwood, Tennessee to Ewell Holloway "Billy" Crabtree and Irma Nell Crabtree. Mrs. Barr was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, J.C. Barr; daughters, Patricia Barr and Brenda Barr; brother, Jack Crabtree; and sister, Edna Jo Hinds.

Survivors include:
Sister: Margaret L. Brogdon & husband, Fred, of Rockwood, TN
Brothers: Robert Crabtree & wife, Louise of Rockwood, TN
James Crabtree & wife, Linda of Harriman, TN
Sister: Carolyn Selvidge & husband, Bob of Lenoir City, TN
Very Special Niece: Diane Wade of Rockwood, TN
And several other nieces and nephews.

Graveside services and interment will be held Thursday, October 11, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Rockwood, Tennessee

This was my aunt who was like a mother to me. She was such a wonderful and loving person. I'll see her in heaven someday. Till then will miss her everyday. No words could express what she did for me and what she means to me. Eternal love. Neicy
