Funeral services were held on Monday afternoon, Nov. 24, for Mrs. Alice Jane Reynolds, 87, at the Bachelor-Faulkner-Dart Chapel in Belleville with burial in the Belleville cemetery (sic). Mrs. Reynolds is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Devona Simms of Belleville, Mrs. Chiona Nork, Phoenix, Ariz. A daughter, Mrs. Lloyd Canning preceded her in death. The Reynolds family were one time residents of Chester.
Pallbearers at the funeral service were John Sell, Hubert Spohn, Harold Crouse, Melvin Crouse, Elmer Mosier and Roy Jenkins of Belleville.

Interment was in Belleville, Kas., Monday for Mrs. Alice J. Reynolds, mother of Mrs. DeVonna Sims of Fairbury.
Alice Cox, daughter of Harvey and Ellen Cox was born Oct. 18, 1871 at Anna, Ill., and died Nov. 20, 1958, at Phoenix, Ariz. On Oct. 12, 1891, she married James Wm. Reynolds, who preceded her in death 17 years ago.
Three daughters were born to them, Jessie Viola Canning, now deceased, Chiona Nork of Phoenix, and DeVonna Sims of Fairbury. There were 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. A grandson, Loren Sims of Fairbury, preceded her in death.
Attending the services in Belleville were Mrs. Sims and daughter, Bonnie, Mr. and Mrs. Dean Tamerius and children; Mrs. Rose May, Mrs. W.A. Rose, Michael Beasley, Mrs. Celia Doleman, Miss Josephine Bonham and Mrs. Bessie Michelson.
