COLORADO CITY ~~ Mrs. Mae E. Boatright, 82, former Colorado City woman, died at noon Wednesday in the Roland Nursing Home in Loraine after a long illness.

Funeral services will be held today at 4 p.m. from the Kiker and Son Chapel in Colorado City. The Reverend Darris Egger of Sweetwater will officiate. Burial will be in the Colorado City Cemetery.

Mrs. Boatright came to Mitchell County in 1919 and operated shoe stores in Colorado City and Sweetwater for many years. Her husband, C. D. Boatright died in 1845.

She is survived by two sons, Jake Boatright of Sweetwater and Joe Boatright of Colorado City; one daughter, Mrs. Mary Bledsoe of San Angelo; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
