CARTERVILLE WOMAN DIES AFTER ILLNESS
Mrs. Agnes Irene Cowan, 78, Carterville, died Saturday in Herrin Hospital after a long illness.
She was a member of the First Methodist Church and the Rebekah Lodge, Carterville.
She was born April 18, 1884, in Cambria.She was married to Proctor Cowan in Carterville in 1905.
She leaves her husband; four daughters, Mrs. Mills Claunch, Carterville, Mrs. George Armonde, Lombardi, Mrs. Roy McNeill, Carterville, Mrs. Hubert Jones, Seattle,mWash.; three sons, Richard, Proctor Jr. And Bill, all of Carterville; two brothers, Thomas Richardson, John Richardson, both of Carterville; 12 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Riggin Funeral Home, Carterville, with Rev. Earl Dickey officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Carterville.
Friends may call after 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
