COVINGTON, HILDA RENEÉ
A resident of Walker, she died Saturday, Nov. 30, 2002, at her home. She was 38 and a native of Independence. Visitation was at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday. Visitation at Carroll Baptist Church, Walker, from 9 a.m. until service at 11 a.m. Monday, conducted by the Rev. Phillip Rush, the Rev. Gene Erwin and the Rev. Benny Jones. Interment in Vickers Cemetery, Walker. She is survived by her husband, Richard Covington of Walker; father, Samuel Bonaventure; a daughter, Reneé Covington; stepdaughters, Shirley Ellestead and Sheila Graham; a son, Paul "Bubba" Covington; a stepson, Paul Ellestead; a brother, Michael Melancon; and five grandchildren, Destiney and Caden Ellestead, and Amanda, Shannon and Haley Graham. She was preceded in death by her mother, Natalie Maxine Melancon; sister, Angie Johnson; father-in-law, Eldon Covington; maternal grandparents, Issac and Estelle Howze; and great-grandmother, Allie Graham. Pallbearers will be Dennis Magee, Donnie Bass, Donnie Thompson, Jason Graham, Curt Allen and Chris Melancon. She attended Carroll Baptist Church, Walker. Thanks to all hospice personnel. Special thanks to all family and friends who cared so much. Special thanks to Mike and Coleen.
