Joyce Covey Chinault, 61, of 4121 Holbert Ave., Draper died early Friday morning, October 1, in the Community Hospital of Roanoke Valley.
She was born in Pulaski County on April 23, 1938 and she was the daughter of the late William Leb Covey and Nora Lee Songer Covey.
She was a member of the Draper United Methodist Church.
Surviving are: husband, Rev. Earnest H. Chinault, Draper; three sons and daughters in law, Stephen H. and Phyllis Chinault, Wytheville, Gary L. and Angela Chinault, Alexandria, Brian E. and Lisa Chinault, Draper; grandson, Isaak Dylan Chinault; two sisters, Rita Newman, Pulaski, Aileen Hurst, Blacksburg; five brothers, William Leb Covey Jr., Pulaski, Douglas Covey, Greensboro, N.C., Gene Covey, Columbia Station, Ohio, George Covey, Ohio, Bill Covey, Pulaski.
Funeral services will be held Monday, October 4, at 11 a.m. from the Stevens Funeral Chapel, Pulaski, with Dr. J. N. Howard, and Rev. Frank Clifton officiating. Burial will follow in the Thornspring Cemetery, Pulaski. Visiting will be held Sunday, October 3, from 6 until 8 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home. Arrangements by Stevens Funeral Home Inc. Pulaski.
