Beulah Jane Couch died May 5, 2006, at Shady Oaks Healthcare in Thayer at the age of 97. She was born Feb. 27, 1909, in Cabool, MO, the daughter of the late John W. and Maude Latham Rackley.
She was united in marriage Dec. 24, 1931, in Cabool to John Lindley Couch, who preceded her in death March 29, 1977.
She was a homemaker and a former rural teacher.
She was of the Pentecostal faith.
She is survived by two sons, Lloyd Couch and wife, Monika, of Elmhurst, IL; and Floyd Couch and wife, Mildred "Gina" of Cooper, TX; daughter-in-law, Ginette Couch of Mansfield, MO; nine grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; one son, John Couch; one daughter, Betty Wilson; two grandsons, Stanley Wilson and Serge Couch, four brothers, Clifton, Geoffrey, Brant and Byron Rackley; and two sisters, Lola and Johnny.
Funeral services were May 11 at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer, with burial in the New Salem Cemetery in Couch. Rev. Ron Richardson officiated.
Pallbearers were Greg Couch, Russ Couch, Tim Couch, Jerry Couch, Tom Couch and Joe Couch.
