Elinor A. Lesnik, 95, of Old Plank Road, Butler, died Friday, Feb. 26, 2010 at the Good Samaritan Hospice in Cabot.

She was born May 15, 1914, in Butler, a daughter of the late David M. and Pearl (Snyder) Cottrill.

Elinor was a 1933 graduate of Butler High School. She was a homemaker, mother and grandmother. She was a charter and lifetime member of the Oak Hills Christian Church in Butler. She was a charter member of the South Butler Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary. She was a former judge of elections and helped as an election poll worker for more than 15 years.

Her husband, Joseph F. Lesnik Jr., who she married Sept. 2, 1936, preceded her in death Feb. 28, 1999.

Surviving are two sons and their wives, three daughters and their husbands, 21 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and two great-great-granddaughters, along with several nieces and nephews.

Elinor was the last surviving member of her immediate family and was preceded in death by six brothers and six sisters.

Her son, Bill Lesnik, was killed in action in Vietnam in 1967. One grandson and two great-granddaughters also preceded her.

LESNIK — Friends of Elinor A. Lesnik, will be received at the Geibel Funeral Home, Butler. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home with the Rev. Phillip Conyers, pastor of the Oak Hills Christian Church, officiating.

Interment at the Greenlawn Burial Estates.
