Dicie Faye Pendleton was born to Robert Henry Pendleton and Mary Jane Casto-Pendleton from Turnback Township, Lawrence County, Missouri and later from Nogo, Pope County, Arkansas.

1900 US Census lists Dicie as age 1 and living with her parents and siblings in Turnback Township, Missouri.

1910 US Census lists Dicie as age 11 and living with her parents and siblings in Independence Township, Pope County, Arkansas.

October 15, 1916 Dicie and James "Calvin" Cotton son of James Marion Cotton and Nancy Ellis-Cotton are married by the Justice of the Peace, Noah Ford.

This union would bring forth two children:

James Calvin Cotton Jr. 1919 1995

February 19, 1919 Calvin Cotton dies and is buried at Smyrna Cemetery, Smyrna, Pope County, Arkansas.

1920 US Census listing Dicie a widow and her children living with her parents in Independence Township, Pope County, Arkansas.

October 13, 1930 Dicie a widow with two children married Widower Floyd McKinley Bowden and are living in Welborn, Conway, Arkansas.

1932 Residence listed for Bowden family, Fort Worth, Texas.

1940 to 1967 Residence listed for Dicie and Floyd Bowden, Lubbock, Texas.

Dicie's Baptismal Church record is at the Peace Tabernacle, 5th & Ave. U, Lubbock, Texas.
Dicie died June 9, 1994 in Russellville, Pope County, Arkansas. She was returned to Lubbock, Texas and was laid to rest next to her husband Floyd McKinley Bowden.

Dicie was a wonderful woman, a loving mother,sister, wife & Aunt,she left behind a loving son and daughter, and their families for all to enjoy.
