"It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our mother, Barbara Rumbaugh Cottle at the age of 74. She lived courageously with Alzheimer's for many years. As her memory diminished, she handled it with grace and dignity. Her smile could light up a room and you couldn't help but laugh with her. She was the most loving wife, mother, and grandmother that anyone could hope for. She was dedicated to her family, immediate and extended, touched many peoples lives as a teacher and as a friend. She will be greatly missed by those who knew her."

Barbara was the first-born child of Rueben Milton Rumbaugh and Lois Ila (Newman) Rumbaugh. She was born in Clovis NM. Barbara graduated from Clovis High School in 1958. She was very active in choir at CHS. Mrs. Warren Terry Cottle graduated from Eastern New Mexico University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Spanish Language Education in 1963. She and Terry had been married on 24 June 1960 in Clovis.

Barbara was a gifted master teacher. She taught in several cities in New Mexico — most particularly Albuquerque and Elephant Butte.

Mrs. Cottle is survived by a son, Brian, and a daughter, Lisa [WACsr].
