(GRAHAM) Bernice Bovine Rogers Cosper of Graham died Thursday, Aug. 23, 2012. She was 81.
Funeral services will be Sunday, Aug. 26, at 2 p.m. EDT at Shiloh Baptist Church in Graham. The Rev. Tony Morris, Dr. Larry Cosper, Dr. Barry Cosper, Rev. Jerry Wiggins and Rev. Phillip Swofford will officiate. Music will be by the Paul Widener Family and the Men's Ensemble of Tabernacle Baptist Church of Carrollton, Ga. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Prior to the funeral services, her body will lie-in-state at the church from 1 p.m. until the funeral hour.
Mrs. Cosper was born March 30, 1931, the daughter of the late Thomas Edgar "T.E." and Etha Bentley Rogers. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church. She had been employed by Bremen-Bowdon Investment Company and Plunkett's in Bowdon for 33 years.
Mrs. Cosper is survived by her husband of 64 years, Cecil Cosper; four sons and their wives, Dr. Larry Cosper and Philip and Deane Cosper, all of Graham, Dr. Barry F. and Cathy Cosper of Alexander City, and Paul and Jackie Cosper of Wedowee; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandsons. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Cosper was preceded in death by her sister, Ima Rogers Eady; and her brothers, Amos Rogers, Claude Rogers, Cramer Rogers, Enock Rogers and Ovie Rogers.
Pallbearers will be Clay Cosper, Jerry Eady, Harold Garrish, Derrick Huey, Tony Rogers, and Rob Williams.
