Fearne Cosper Bates, age 75, of Birmingham, died August 15, 1997. She was of the Baptist Faith; member of the Concordia Club and The Club.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, August 16, at 2 p.m. from Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Jefferson Memorial Gardens East, Trussville, Elder Guy Hunt officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 12:00 noon until service time.

Survivors: husband, Mr. John W. Bates, Sr., two sons, three sisters, three brothers, two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Memorials to be made to the American Cancer Society. Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home of Trussville directing.
