Charles C. Corwin, 100, Waynesburg, PA died April 30, 2002 at the Greene Co. Memorial Hospital, following a short illness.
He was born November 3, 1901 to the late Delbert and Jennie Scott Corwin.
He spent his entire life in Greene Co. Mr. Corwin was a member of the Washington St. United Methodist Church.
He had worked for 25 years at Nemacolin Coal Mine and later worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator for Carnegie Natural Gas Co. for 23 1/2 years retiring in 1966.
Surviving are his wife: Margaret McClelland Corwin whom he married December 2, 1922, two daughters, Mary Jane Logan of Waynesburg, PA and Wilma Henderson of Pittsburgh, PA, two sons, Charles Donald Corwin of Seattle, Washington and Robert Lewis Corwin of Grants, New Mexico, thirteen grandchildren, several great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are two sisters, Blanche Gallentine and Lorena C. Garner, one brother, Harold T. Corwin, one granddaughter, Peggy Smith.
Friends will be received May 3, 2002 at the Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home, Inc. Waynesburg, PA where services will be held on May 4, 2002, with Rev. Penny Adams officiating.
Burial will be at Greene Co. Memorial Park.
