Jessica R. Corson Attard, Age 28 years old, of Taylor, Mich., formerly of Ottawa, passed away June 21, 2007, at her residence by committing Suicide.
She was born March 3, 1979, in Lima to Richard Corson and Linda Tapia Claybaugh.
Her father survives in Ottawa. Her mother and her companion, Larry Barber, survive in Trenton, Mich. She had been married to Chris Attard, who survives in Allen Park, Mich. Her life partner, Jennifer Hofmann, survives in Taylor, Mich.
Ms. Attard was a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society in Michigan. She was an avid painter and loved reading, photography and music.
Survivors also include a son, Damon Corson, of Trenton, Mich.; a daughter, Heidi Attard, of Allen Park, Mich.; two brothers, Steven Claybaugh, of Trenton, Mich., and Johnathan McDade, of Wapakoneta; two sisters, Hannah Corson, of Wapakoneta, and Ashley Barber, of Trenton, Mich.; her stepmother for several years, Mona Corson, of Wapakoneta; her stepfather for several years, Eric Claybaugh, of Trenton, Mich.; paternal grandfather, Robert Corson, of Ottawa; maternal grandparents, Jesus and Maria Tapia, of Ottawa; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by paternal grandmother, June Corson.
Services will begin at 11:30 a.m. Monday at Love Funeral Home, Ottawa. Pastors Dan Huther and Heather Holland will officiate.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
