Marilyn Minnie (Correll) Boyd, 90 was taken from this earthly life to receive her Heavenly rewards at 7:23 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012, at Crawford Memorial Hospital, Robinson, IL.

She was born July 15, 1922 in Hutsonville, IL at the home of her parents Ellis Norris and Evelyn Estella (Callahan) Correll and was a direct descendant of Thomas Correll who settled in the Trimble area in 1818. She attended Excelsior Grade School north of Palestine before attending Trimble Grade School both one room schools and later Hutsonville High School.

She was united in marriage with Lyle Boyd on June 11, 1939 in Dixon, KY. She worked as a checker and in the office at Gallo's Red & White for 18 years.

She accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior at an early age and remained faithful throughout her life. She attended Trimble Bible Church in her youth and was a founding member of the Southside Congregational Christian Church in Robinson and remained active until failing health prevented her from attending.

She was raised during the Great Depression and had sole responsibility in caring for her two children while her husband served in the military during WWII making her the strong person she was. Though small in stature she was strong in her faith and faithful to her family. She never wavered from her faith in God though the trials and tribulations may have been many.

Survivors include a brother and sister. She is also survived by four sons and three daughter-in-laws; 16 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 23 great-great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her husband, parents, and brothers James Albert, Gerald Maurice, Donald Ellsworth Correll, a sister Doris Rosalie (Correll) Kilburn, four grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 28, at the Goodwine Funeral Home, Robinson with her nephew Rev. Jack Kilburn officiating.
