WEST COLUMBIA: Funeral services for Sarah "Eugenia" Corley Ashley, 86, will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, October 7, 2012, at Mt. Hebron United Methodist Church, and officiated by Reverend Tim Rogers. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 until 6 p.m. Saturday at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington. Mrs. Ashley, widow of LeRoy Thomas Ashley, passed away Wednesday, October 3, 2012. Born in West Columbia, SC, she was a daughter of the late Eddie Ronald Corley and Susan Ardella Hook Corley. She was a retired RN from Pediatric Associates and a lifelong member of Mt. Hebron United Methodist Church.
Survivors include: daughters, Suzanne Ashe (Kenneth) of Canyon Lake, TX and Arlene Boyd (Scotty) of Goose Creek, SC; son, Thomas Ashley of West Columbia; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren; and two sisters-in-law. Mrs. Ashley was preceded in death by brothers, Maxey Corley, Ashley Corley and Donald Corley.
