She is a daughter of Aaron Burr and Sallie (Gartin) Coppage and was married to John Childress (1865-1945).

Mrs. Bersha Coppage Childress, window of the late John Childress, died at her home in Springfield Friday. She was 91 and was a long time resident of Marion County.

She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Mont Chelf, one granddaughter and also by great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews survive, among those are Mrs. Leonard Richardson, James Marshall Coppage, Bradsfordsville, and Mrs. Fred Heck, Louisville, Clyde Coppage of Boston, Mass.

Burial will be in Old Liberty Cemetery on Sunday. Carey and Son Funeral Home had charge of services.
