Ruth Marie Cooper
Ruth Marie (Mason) Cooper passed away on November 15, 2002, at an Oklahoma City hospital. She was born June 16, 1918, in Avaca, Texas, the daughter of James Polk “Jack” and Daisy Virgie (Butler) Mason.
Mrs. Cooper was a member of the Citizen Potawatomi Nation. She married Lester Haskell Cooper on April 10, 1963. She was a member of First Baptist Church of WANETTE, Oklahoma.
She was a homemaker for 25 years and retired from a position as Food Services Supervisor at Central State Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a baby brother.
Survivors include a sister, Ruby Jewel Cunningham of Florida; a son, Curtis Cooper of Noble, Oklahoma; a granddaughter, Ashley Cooper of Noble; two nephews, Robert Sherfeld of New Whiteland, Indiana and James Sherfield of Midwest City, Oklahoma; and two nieces, Pamela Keller of Indianapolis, Indiana and Vicki Voltz of Florida.
Burial was in the WANETTE cemetery.
