Ben M. Cooper, 71, retired farmer, died at 9:40 p.m. Thursday at his home on Route 2. He was a native of Daviess County but lived in Hancock County most of his life. He was a veteran of World War I. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Kathleen Cooper; a brother, Momen Cooper of Lewisport; a step-daughter, and nine grandchildren. Services will be held at 9 a.m. Monday at St. William Catholic Church with burial in St. Lawrence Cemetery. The body is at the Taylor Funeral Home.
