Janice married Don Shenefield on August 5, 1950. She worked for Marion National Bank, Summit Bank, and National Bank of Detroit, now Regions Bank of Marion, Indiana; and Clover Blossom Honey, she also owned The Honey House in LaFontaine, Indiana. Janice was a member of American Business Women’s Association, Mississinewa 1812, American Beekeeping Federation, and Beekeepers of Indiana, and she was a former member of Boundary Line Church of Christ. She was involved in the LaFontaine Festival for many years.
