Connie Buchanan(1949 - 2010)
Connie Marie (Cook) Buchanan, 60, of Evansville, passed away Monday, July 5, 2010, at her home. She was born November 24, 1949, in Evansville.

She retired from Lodge School after 35 years of service. Her hobbies were going to Ellis Park, going to auctions, traveling, camping with her family and playing dice with her sister.

Connie was preceded in death by her mother, Helen Staser; stepfather, Bernard Staser; son, John Buchanan, Jr.; brother, James A. Cook, Jr.; father, James A. Cook, Sr.; and uncle, Louie Godby.

She is survived by her husband of 43 years, John Buchanan, Sr.; daughter, Sheila (Ronald) Langston; son, Chris Buchanan; sister, Judy (John) LaForrest; half-sister, Mary Jane Willis; brother, Anthony (Ann) Cook; stepmother, Jeanette Cook; aunt, Margie Godby; uncle, Donald (Brenda) Lupfer; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and her loving caregivers, Shannon, Michelle, Beth, Lynn and Brandon

Services will be 9:00 AM Saturday, July 10, 2010, at St. Boniface Catholic Church, 418 Wabash Avenue, officiated by Fr. Kenneth Herr with burial in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit Friday from 2:00 to 8:00 PM, with a memorial service at 7:30 PM, at Alexander East Chapel, 2115 Lincoln Avenue.
