Juanita R. Bailey, 92, of Henryville, IN, passed away at 4 p.m. on Sunday, December 11, 2016 at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville, IN. Born March 24, 1924 in Borden, IN, she was the daughter of Sherman and Maybelle Cook. Juanita was a 1942 Borden High School graduate and was the last remaining class member. She married John Bailey in 1942 and he preceded her in death in 1985. Survivors include, a son, Randall (Gail) Bailey and a daughter, Phyllis (Mike) Lloyd; 12 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. Juanita was also preceded in death by a daughter, Carol Howson, two grandchildren, two brothers, and one sister. Juanita was a member of the Blue Lick Christian Church where she loved her Keenagers Class. She enjoyed playing cards and games, go shopping, and always being on the go. Most of all she loved working in her large garden, cooking and canning her food that she grew yearly. Pastor Steve Wever will conduct funeral services, 11 a.m. Thursday, December 15, 2016 at Blue Lick Christian Church, 16113 Memphis Bluelick Road, Henryville, IN, with burial to follow at Bowery Cemetery. Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at Adams Family Funeral Home & Crematory in Henryville and after 10 a.m. on Thursday at the church. Memorial donations may be given to Blue Lick Christian Church c/o Adams Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 209 S. Ferguson St., Henryville, IN 47126.
