He was born Sept. 17, 1922, in Georgetown, the son of Lee and Mabel Davis Cook. He married Betty Phillips April 18, 1952. She survives in Ridge Farm.
Also surviving: one sister, Phyllis Cook of Homewood; one brother, Wayne (Geneva) Cook of Ridge Farm; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Phillip, and three sisters, Ruth Cook, Grace Cook, and Betty Ann Pribble.
He was a veteran of World War II, Battery C, 390 Field Artillery Battalion, serving in the European Theatre of operations. He was a heavy equipment operator, retiring several years ago.
He was a member of Operating Engineers Local #841, Domblazer American Legion Post #203, Russell Masonic Lodge of Georgetown, and Danville Scottish Rite.
Services were held at Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home in Georgetown; Officiating: Rev. Leon Korb; Burial: Crown Hill Cemetery, Ridge Farm; Graveside military rites by Domblazer American Legion Post.
