Audie Geraldine Bottomlee, 88 of Turkey Creek, Brenton, WV went to her heavenly home on June 13, 2016. Audie was a proud mother of three children. In addition to being a mother and wife, she loved to cook, sew, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of the Turkey Creek Missionary Baptist Church and assisted with VBS.

She was born March 18, 1928 at Turkey Creek, Brenton, WV to the late Joseph "Goff" Cook Sr. (1899-1969) and Violet "Vida" Emily Belcher-Cook (1897-1982). In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, J.P. Bottomlee (1930-2013) whom she married on September 8, 1955 in McConnell, Logan County, WV (per WV Marriage License Register, Wyoming County, WV, 1955, Page 13, Application Date: September 6, 1955); a wonderful daughter, Pamela Lynette Bottomlee-Davis (1970-2014); brothers, Joseph Goff Cook Jr. (Deceased), Noel "Verne" Cook (1914-1986), Richard "Roscoe" Cook (1916-Deceased) and Algie Buren Cook (1919-1975); and sisters, Gladys Cook (1918-1918), Edna "Garnette" Cook-Hatfield (1930-2013), Viola "Ruth" Cook-McKinney-Hatfield (1922-Deceased) and Nellie "Naomi" Cook-Wiles (1923-2004).

Survivors include her daughter, Paula Bottomlee-Slavy of Owego, NY; son, Norris Bottomlee and his wife, Cathy Bottomlee of Palm Bay, FL; and sisters, Beulah "Grace" Cook-Cook (1924-2020) of Bluewell, WV and Myrtle Marie Cook-Cline (1920-2018) of Turkey Creek, Brenton, WV; four grandchildren, Crystle Slavy of Rochester, NY, Courtney Benjamin of Owego, NY, Collin Bottomlee of Palm Bay, FL, and Cara Slavy of Owego, NY. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted on June 18, 2016, at 1:00 PM by Reverend Glenn Hatfield at Turkey Creek Missionary Baptist Church, Brenton, WV. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service. Burial will follow at Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny, WV.
