She was born Sept. 9, 1909, in Forsyth County to Ellis Luther and Mary Elizabeth
Yarbrough Conrad.
She was a member of Olivet Moravian Church until moving to King in 1939.
Lucille was preceded in death by her husband, Pete Binkley, in 1977. Also
preceding her in death were three brothers; and four sisters.
Survivors include a daughter, Patricia Baker, and husband Leo of King; a son,
Ronald Binkley, and wife Deborah of Dandridge, Tenn.; a grandson, Steven
Binkley, and wife Hope; a great-granddaughter, Audrey Makayla Binkley; a
great-grandson, William Gray Binkley, of Gilbert, S.C.; three sisters, Pauline
Pfaff of Winston-Salem, Helen Petty of Danville, Va., and Elva Smith of East
Bend; and two brothers, Esker Ray Conrad and wife August of King and Coy Conrad
and wife Ernestine of Tobaccoville.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 6, at Crestview
Memorial Park with the Rev. Jimmie L. Newsom Jr. of King Moravian Church
officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today, April 5, at Slate
Funeral Home in King.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative CareCenter,
1100-C S. Stratford Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
