Evelyn Conner Barrow, 86, of Collins died Monday, September 29, 2008 at Community Hospice House in Vidalia.
The Candler County native lived most of her life in Tattnall County. She was a homemaker and a member of the Claxton Primitive Baptist Church. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother who loved her friends and neighbors. When time permitted, she loved to fish.
She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Eugene Bryson.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Warnell Barrow of Collins; four daughters and sons-in-law, Sherry Jean Bryson of Lyons, Vera and Glen DeLoach of Mendes, Linda and Robert Colson, Melba and Jimmie Powell all of Vidalia; seven grandchildren, Wanda (Jimmy) Gibbs, Barry (Melanie) Bryson, Dane DeLoach, Daniel (Jessica) DeLoach, Derrick (Iris) DeLoach, Brian (Heather) Colson and Heather Leigh Williams; six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Cobbtown Chapel, with Elder Jimmy Haire officiating. Burial will be in the Anderson Cemetery.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be Tuesday, 6:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Kennedy Funeral Homes, Cobbtown Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
