Mrs. Rose Collar

Mrs. Rose B Collar died at her Hartwick home on tuesday of last week. She was 81 years old. Mrs. Collar was born June 27, 1870 in the Township of Pittsfield the daughter of William F. and Angeline (Woodward) Conkey.

She was married to Aaron Burr Collar in Morris. She had lived her for the past 17 years, previously living in Oneonta for 40 years. She was a member of the Oneonta Main Street Baptist church.

Surviving are one brother, William Conkey, Hartwick; three nieces, Mrs. Arthur Eldred, Hartwick; Mrs. Robert Patrick, Fly Creek; Mrs. Raymond Maxim, Bainbridge; and five nephews, Claude, Sherman and Howard Decker, all of Oneonta; Raymond Conkey, Illinois(?); Stewart Conkey, South New Berlin.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m Thursday at the Patterson Funeral Home in Hartwick, with the Rev. L. L. MacClain, retired Baptist Minister, officiating. The body was placed in Hillington Cemetery vault at Morris.
