The grave did have a marker that Dr. Walter E. Floyd, Jr., and Mr. Aubrey Stembridge of Clark Memorials; Macon, Georgia removed, under the pretext of Clark Memorials to repair it, about 1998.
The stone was never repaired nor replaced by Dr. Floyd and Aubrey Stembridge of Clark Memorial Monument Company in Macon, Georgia. This has been a great loss to the memory of Paul R. Cone and to the Cone and other related family members in Bulloch County.
It is stated by Clark Memorial in 2002 that when they cleaned their premises, the original stone was discarded and/or destroyed in Macon. No offer to replace it nor an apology to this date has been offered to replace the marker by Clark Memorial nor Dr. Walter E. Floyd, Jr.
The Cemetery today is under the supervision of the Old Fellowship Baptist Church and the Deacon's Board.
