Passed away suddenly, July 6, Thursday afternoon, at St. Mary's Hospital. Age 52 years. He was born Jan. 10, 1920 in Duluth, Minn. coming to Saginaw at an early age. He married Madeleine Elliot Sept. 11, 1941, in Saginaw. He was a member of Local 537 and had been employed the past 18 years at the United States Graphite Co. Surviving besides his wife are one daughter, Mrs. Lee E. (Madlyn) Sanford, Saginaw; one granddaughter, Lisa Elizabeth Sanford; four brothers and two sisters, David E., Donald B., George M. and Harry R. Comstock, all of Saginaw; Mrs. Robert (Betty Joy) Brown, Saginaw; Mrs. Robert (Mildred) Harris, living in Colorado. Funeral service will take place 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Cathedral. Rev. Msgr. Eugene A. Forbes will officiate. Friends may call at the Reitz Chapel 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday, until 9 p.m. Sunday, where they will meet with relatives 8 p.m. Sunday to pray the Rosary.
