He worked in the coal mines of Eastern Kentucky, was employed with and retired from GE after thirty-four years of faithful service, was a greeter at Wal-Mart for fifteen years and was a member of the Okolona Baptist Church. Clyde enjoyed working in his yard, gardening, hunting and fishing. He was an avid UK fan, loved playing gospel bluegrass music on his guitar. Clyde was a real jokester who loved to aggravate people. He was a wonderful father, husband and grandpa. We are fortunate to have had him in our lives.
Clyde is preceded in death by his son, Larry Wayne Combs, his parents, Ezekiel Combs, Ora Clark and his siblings.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Combs, children, Clyde Lindell Combs, Gary Mason Combs, Bruce Combs and Billy Hamilton Padgett Jr., seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and seven great great-grandchildren.
A funeral service to celebrate Clyde's life will be conducted at 10am on Thursday, December 22, 2016 with interment to follow at Restahven Memorial Park. Guests are invited to attend a visitation from 4-8pm on Wednesday, December 21, 2016.
