Alfred Holt Colquitt, 75, of 539 Old Rockmart Road, Silver Creek, died Monday afternoon at a Rome hospital.
Mr. Colquitt was born in Polk County, May 31, 1912, the son of the late William E. Colquitt and Zula Kerr Colquitt. He had worked for a number of years at West-Point Pepperell Manufacturing Co., but was retired from the City of Rome as an electrical inspector. He attended the silver Creek United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, the former Hazel Roberts, to whom he was married on Dec. 1, 1933; a daughter, Mrs. Lucy Cagle, Silver Creek; a son, James H. Colquitt, Atlanta; a brother, Henry Colquitt, Calhoun; two sisters, Mrs. Hardie Jones, Menton, Ala., and Mrs. Oliver Shiflett, Cedartown; three grandchildren, a great-grandchild, nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at East View Cemetery with the Rev. Dennis Ledford officiating.
