She was born Feb. 17, 1924, in Proctor, the daughter of William and Daisy (McDonald) Collins.
She had been a long time resident of Proctor, and was employed at Klebeck's store for many years.
Bea enjoyed watching the birds and tending to her flower gardens and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, P. Gordon Anderson Sr. of Proctor; her children William Melen and wife Valerie of Fayetteville, NC, Beth Austin and husband Thomas of Rutland, Barbara Fuller of Altamont Springs, FL, Gary Melen and wife Nancy of Greenfield, MA, Christine Oberfelt and husband Daniel of Catawba, SC, Sharon Frappier and husband David of Castleton, and a beloved daughter-in-law Theresa Anderson of Proctor; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a son, P. Gordon Anderson Jr., and a grandson, Nathan West.
There will be no calling hours.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, May 15, at 11 a.m. in Riverside Cemetery in Proctor.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests for those who wish, memorial contributions in Bea's memory be made to Rutland County Humane Society, 765 Stevens Road, Pittsford, VT 05763.
Barnard Funeral Home in Pittsford is handling arrangements.
