J. H. Hobert Collins, 93 of Taneyville, passed away Sunday evening December 20, 2015 at Cox Medical Center Branson. Hobert was a World War II veteran, having served in the Air Force for 4 years, 5 months in Berlin, Germany. He had been in charge of the propellor shop at Temppelhoff Air Base. Hobert was the owner and operator at the grocery and service station in Kissee Mills. He was a farmer and a lifetime woodcutter. He was a member of New Vision Church in Taneyville.

Hobert was preceded in death by his parents, J. L. Lewis Collins; son, Gene Ray Collins, and brother Norman Collins.

He is survived by one sister, Mildred Collins Rowland of Cedarcreek, Mo.; his daughter-in-law Willa Dean Collins of Lead Hill, AR.; brothers-in-law Jim Kaneatser and wife Marilyn of Branson, MO., Lonnie Kaneaster and wife Loreta also of Branson, and Troy Kaneaster of Kansas City, Mo. Sisters-in-law Bertye Kaneaster Boatright and Husband Ross, also of Kansas City, Mo., and Carmen Revis Collins of Klamath Galls, OR.; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Funeral Service will be held at New Vision General Baptist Church, on Wednesday December 23, 2015 at 10:30 AM. Visitation will start at 9:30 Am until the time of service at the church. Burial will take place at the Ozarks Memorial Park Cemetery in Branson, MO. Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association, Southwest Missouri Chapter Glen Isle Center, 1500 South Glenstone, Springfield, Missouri 65804.
