Collins, Martin L. Age 21., his brother, same residence,nativity, enlisted same day into same company., May 17, 1863, Wounded Black River Bridge, Miss. Died of disease April 17,1864, Corydon, Iowa.
Based on enlistment Morrison participated in Battles of Port Gibson, Champion's Hill, Big Black River, Milliken's Bend, Siege of Vicksburg and Jackson in 1863. Campaign against Mobile and its defences, Siege of Fort Blakely, occupation of Mobile in 1865,
He was the husband of Sarah A. (Belson) Colter Collins.
Sarah Ann (Morrison's second wife) -- It appears her maiden name is Belson. She was only 15 or 16 when she married William F. Coulson and that is why she has the name "Colsen" in the marriage records.

They were married on July 19, 1866 in Wayne County, Iowa. His first wife was Elizabeth "Betsy" (Shannon) Collins. He had at least two children with Betsy (Ida and Mary Collins) and three children with Sarah including Phil Collins.
