Martin - Mrs. Ruth Collier Chapell, 82 of Route four, Martin, the Mt. Pelia Community, died Friday, June 3, at the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson.
Services were held 2 p.m. Sunday June 5, at Murphy Funeral Home Chapel in Martin with the Rev. Richard Campbell officiating. Burial was in Collier Cemetery near Martin.
Grandson's served as pallbearers.
Born August 1, 1905, in Tennessee, Mrs. Chapell was a homemaker, the wife of Flois A. Chapell, who survives, and was a member of Cane Creek Primitive Baptist Church.
In Addition to her husband, she leaves a son, Waynon Glen Chapell of Memphis; a daughter, Mrs. Romona Moon of Fulton, KY.; a brother Woodrow Collier of Martin; nine grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
