FRANCES JEAN COLE BARNES, 62, of Marion, homemaker, died Sunday at Methodist Healthcare-University Hospital. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in West Memphis with burial in Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion. She was a member of Crawfordsville (Ark.) First Baptist Church. Mrs. Barnes, the wife of James Everett Barnes, also leaves two daughters, Tina Whited of West Memphis and Kathy L. Boswell of Marion; two sons, Howard Barnes of Benton, Ark., and James Barnes of Savannah, Tenn.; her mother, Nina Lorene Cole of Marion; three sisters, Kandy Underwood of West Memphis, and Peggy Cole and Rita Franklin, both of Marion; two brothers, Charles Cole of Marianna, Ark., and J. B. Cole of Crawfordsville, and four grandchildren. The family requests that memorials be sent to the American Diabetes Association.
