DEATH OF MRS. BAUGHMAN
Aged Bunceton Lady Passed Away Tuesday Afternoon Funeral Yesterday 71 Years Old

After having been in failing health for the past several years, Mrs. Henry Baughman died at her home in the southeast part of Bunceton Tuesday afternoon at 3 o'clock, aged 71 years, three months and five days. Short funeral services were held at the family residence yesterday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock by Rev. T. M. Macdonnell, after which services were held at the Pisgah Baptist Church at 2:30 o'clock. Interment took place in the Pisgah Baptist Cemetery. The services were largely attended and the floral offerings were beautiful and profuse.

Mrs. Baughman's maiden name was Miss Annie Briscoe Cole, she being a daughter of Samuel and Sallie Cole, pioneers of Cooper county. She was born on a farm near Bell Air, March 20, 1847, and spent her entire life in this county.

In December 1863, she was united in marriage with Henry Baughman and the couple lived for many years on a farm near Lee schoolhouse. There were seven children born to the union, one son and six daughters, all of whom survive. They are C. A. Baughman and Mesdames B. L. Morris, J. L. Morris, C. L. Edwards and G. A. Gilbert, all of this county; Mrs. Maggie Underwood, of Webb City, and Mrs. R. E. Hadley, of Glendora, Calif. Mr. Baughman died Feb. 6, 1911. Mrs. Baughman is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Sallie Kauffman, of Collins, Mo., and two half-sisters, Mrs. R. S. Roe, of near Bell Air, and Mrs. Jennie Cash, of Warrensburg.

Mrs. Baughman was one of nineteen children, all of whom are well known in their respective communities. Following the death of her husband, Mrs. Baughman bought residence property in Bunceton and moved here, and has made her home here for the past seven years. Mrs. Baughman professed religion many years ago and united with the Baptist Church. She was a most estimable woman, kind, helpful and home-loving, and was a faithful wife and a most devoted mother. To those who are bereaved by her death the Eagle extends sympathy.
