He was born June 1,1954, to the late Wayne Oliver and Hallie Hazel Parks Cole and had been a longtime Michigan resident before making his home in Manila in 1974.
He was a retired welder for Southworth Manufacturing in Manila and was an avid NASCAR fan — especially of No. 2, Rusty Wallace. He also enjoyed taking care of his fruit trees and was known for growing extraordinarily large pumpkins and watermelons.
He is survived by his brother, Kenneth Cole and his wife Anita of Manila, and two nephews whom he loved very much, Ryan and Connor Cole, both of Manila.
Funeral services were held in Howard Funeral Chapel in Manila with the Rev. Eddie Hawkins officiating. Burial was in Manila Cemetery.
Serving as active pallbearers were; Tinker Hutton, Matt McWhirter, Chuck McWhirter, Barry Parks, Darrin Parks and Milton Atkinson.
Honorary pallbearers were; Larry Dodd, Roger Thorn, Odell Dehart, Jimmy Hicks, Paul Wayne Hicks and Jim Ed Robbins.
