Son of Job and Hannah (Frye) Cole. Husband of Frances (Osborn) Cole. They married October 6, 1864.
Albert served a soldier during the war of the great Rebellion (also known as the Civil War). He enlisted as a private in Company B, 4th Cavalry Regiment Mass. on September 22, 1862. He enlisted in Company I, 3rd Infantry Regiment Mass. on September 23, 1862 and mustered out on June 26, 1863 at Camp Hooker in Lakeville, Mass. Re-enlisted as a private in Company I, 3rd Infantry Regiment Mass. on December 7, 1863. Re-enlisted in Company B, 4th Cavalry Regiment Mass. on December 21, 1863 and received a disability discharge on August 15, 1865 at Alexandria, Virginia.
