Ginnie Geneva Colburn, 84 year old resident of Ripley County, MO died October 17 2010. Mrs. Colburn was born February 1, 1926 in Kennett, Missouri to the late Charlie & Lectie (Boyles) Merritt.

She retired from Vitronic in Doniphan. She was a member of the Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church where she was the minister's wife for over 50 years. She loved the church, her grandchildren, catching the biggest fish, & gardening. She canned a good deal of what was raised and shared abundantly with her many friends.

On April 20, 1945, at Success AR she married Mr. Clint Colburn. He survives.

Other Survivors are three sons, J.R. (Jeannine) Colburn of Kansasville, WI, C.H. (Janice) Colburn of Doniphan, & Sam (Panoply) Colburn of Memphis, TN; two daughters Carrie June (Johnny) Bingham and Dian Decker both of Doniphan; one sister Mildred Kempsey of Kalamazoo MI; one sister-in-law Joyce Johnson of Cherryvale, KS; one brother Ruben Johnson of Bloomfield; 18 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Colburn was preceded in death by his parents & one daughter Joyce Kay Colburn; two brothers Floyd Johnson & Otho Pete Johnson; and three sisters Georgann Lynn, Marie Hansen, & Jessie Bellany.

Burial will follow at the Towels Cemetery.
