OCALA - Allen Anthony Colbert. 81, a retired mail dispatcher for Chase Manhattan Bank in New York City, died Friday, March 5. 1999 at Ocala Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Colben was born in Queens, NY, and came here 18 years ago. He was Protestant, and he was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and the Korean War. In all, he served 21 years in the military.
Survivors include his wife, Katharina E. Colbert of Ocala; brothers, JJ. Colben of Houston, Texas, Bob Colben of Higginsville, MO, Eddie Williams of Prescott, AZ, and Chuck Williams of Yuma, AZ. He is also survived by his sisters, Mary Lou Tawzer of Yuma, AZ, Betty Einbodin of Upland, CA, Ruby Gillespie of Jacksonville, Ruth Watley and Nancy Tolbert of Diana, Texas and Virginia Bare of Carney, OK; and many nieces and nephews.
