W. E. Coggins Died at Buffalo Monday.
W. E. Coggins, prominent farmer and Chambers County citizen, died on Monday night of this week about ten o'clock at his home near Buffalo, following an illness of about one year. He was stricken about one year ago with paralysis and never recovered from the attack.
The deceased was a life long resident of Chambers County, a member of the Baptist Church at Rock Springs and was otherwise identified with the interests of his community and county. He had made his home with a son at the old Coggins home since the death of his wife about one and half years ago.
Funeral service was held from the Rock Springs church on Tuesday afternoon, with Rev. F. H. McElroy, pastor of the local Presbyterian church, being the officiating minister. Interment was in the Rock Springs cemetery, with Robinson & Cutler, local undertakers, in charge of arrangements.
Surviving are two sons, Buren and Dan Coggins, two brothers, Lee Coggins and Dock Coggins, and a wealth of relatives and friends.
