Mrs. Cockrell was born at Mariontown, Ky., December 14, 1871. Fifty-seven years ago she was married to William Edgar Cockrell, who died in 1940 and eight children were born to them, of whom four survive. She was a member of the Morris Chapel Baptist Church of Camden, Tenn. and had made her home in recent years at Ellsinore, Mo. with her son.
She is survived by the son, Gilbert Cockell; three daughters, Mrs. L.C. Hardin of Brewston, Tenn. and Mrs. Dewey Neely and Mrs. Clyde Boyd, both of this city; a brother and two sisters, John Harrington, Mrs. Clint Russell and Mrs. Henry Wafford, all of Camden; a number of grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
