OBITUARY FOR SARAH HEATH:

DECEMBER 10, 1936:
Sarah Fidelia Cockings, daughter of John and Margaret Cockings, was born in Devonshire Hollow, Lafayette County, WI on June 8, 1858, and passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Joe Gratton, near Waldwick, on December 2, 1936, at the age of 78 years, 5 months and 22 days.
On September 27, 1876, she was united in marriage to Jonas Heath and to this union one child Minnie, now Mrs. Joe Gratton, was born.
Mrs Heath was a lifelong resident of Waldwick vicinity and following the death of her husband, which occurred in the year 1880, she continued to reside in the village until about two years ago, when, because of old age and failing health she went to live with her daughter, who cared for her until the time of her death, which occurred Tuesday morning when she quietly passed to her eternal reward.
On July 17, 1892, she united with the Methodist church in Waldwick where she worked and lived a faithful Christian life.
Those left to mourn her departure are her daughter and one sister, Mrs. Vesta Nicolas, of Granville, ND. Several brothers and sisters preceded her in death. many other relatives and a large circle of friends will miss her.
Funeral services were held on Friday afternoon, Dec 4, from the Joe Gratton home at 1:30 and from the Waldwick Methodist church at 2:00. Rev. D.A. Long had charge of the services and was assisted by Rev. Weittenheller of Blanchardville. Burial took place in the Jackson Cemetery.
