Mrs Ayers was a 1949 graduate of Bradford High School.
On June 3, 1950 in Allegany, NY, she married Leslie E. Ayers who died January 7, 2000.
She had been employed at McCourt Label, a secretary at Dresser Mfg. and then at the University of Pittsburgh, Bradford Campus in food service until her retirement.
She was a former member of Bolivar Drive Baptist Church. and the Derrick City Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary.
Surviving are one sister: Ruth Connelly, one brother: James Cochran, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three sisters: Anna Cochran, Ella Kean, and Agnes Eschenbach, and two brothers: Sherman Cochran who was killed in action during WW II and Meade Cochran.
Burial in McKean Memorial Park.
